Job Summary

As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients within our hospital units, wards, and outpatient clinics. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient, effective, and profitable medical services while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Director of Medical Services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical care and management for patients in assigned units, wards, or clinics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and training programmes.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, policies, and medical ethics.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of medical services.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  • Valid annual practising licence.
  • Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
