Job Description

C-Care Uganda, a leading private healthcare provider, is seeking dedicated and qualified Medical Officers to join our dynamic teams at the International Hospital Kampala (IHK) and our International Medical Centres (IMCs). Job Summary
As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients across various units, wards, and outpatient clinics. Your primary role is to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable medical services while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. You will report directly to the Director of Medical Services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, examinations, and histories.
  • Perform conclusive diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide clinical care and management for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and continuous medical education sessions.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the medical service.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration and a valid annual practicing license from the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).
  • Proven clinical experience as a Medical Officer. Experience in a private hospital setting is an added advantage.
  • Excellent diagnostic, decision-making, and patient management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
