Job Summary

As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients across our units, wards, and clinics. Your primary role will be to ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and profitable medical services while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and care. You will report directly to the Director of Medical Services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Provide direct clinical care and management to patients in assigned units.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and emergency medical services as required.
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the medical service.
  • Maintain professional development and stay updated on medical best practices.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration and valid practising licence with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and medical ethics.
