About the Role:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician at C-Care, you will play a crucial role in our patient care pathway. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and analyses that aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your precision and expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and support our doctors in making informed clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialised medical laboratory tests on patient samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.).
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
• Accurately record, analyse, and report test results using the laboratory information system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution in Uganda.
• Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience working in a medical laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and blood transfusion services.
• Proficiency in using modern laboratory equipment and information systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
