About the Role:
As a Marine Engine Cadet, you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to learn the fundamentals of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and maintenance procedures. This role is perfect for someone eager to build a solid foundation for a future as a Marine Engineer.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Areas:
- Assist in the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of ship engine room equipment.
- Learn to monitor engine performance, fuel, and lubrication systems.
- Support planned maintenance systems (PMS) and safety checks under guidance.
- Participate in watchkeeping duties and understand engine room logbook entries.
- Adhere strictly to all maritime safety and environmental protection regulations.
- Gain practical knowledge of troubleshooting common mechanical and electrical faults.
