Laboratory Technologist Job in Mbale - C-Care Uganda

About the Role:
As a Laboratory Technologist at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostic services. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the laboratory department, ensuring accurate test results that support effective patient treatment and care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day operational running of the laboratory department.
• Identify and execute the best methods for specimen collection and retrieval.
• Prepare various specimens for laboratory testing according to established protocols.
• Conduct a range of laboratory testing procedures while strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory reports to clinicians.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance and control programmes within the laboratory.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Proven experience working in a medical laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
