Laboratory Technician Job at TASO Jinja Center of Excellence

TASO Uganda is seeking a qualified Laboratory Technician to join our Jinja Center of Excellence team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled medical laboratory professional to contribute to our mission of providing quality healthcare services in Eastern Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures following established protocols
• Handle and process patient samples with proper safety measures
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of test results
• Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards
• Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies
• Follow biosafety and infection control guidelines
• Collaborate with medical staff to support patient care

Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from recognised institution
• Valid practicing license from Allied Health Professionals Council
• Minimum 2 years experience in clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
