Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide first and second-level technical support to staff across all Old Mutual Uganda offices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware (computers, printers, peripherals) and software applications.
• Monitor, maintain, and provide basic support for the organisation's local area network (LAN) and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Assist with the setup of new user accounts, workstations, and email configurations.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with the IT team on technology upgrades and implementation of new solutions.
• Provide basic training and guidance to staff on using company software and hardware effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably within a corporate environment in Uganda.
• Strong practical knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business software.
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and basic network administration.
• Professional IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-service orientation, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
