Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity measures across all banking systems and platforms
• Monitor security infrastructure and respond to security incidents in real-time
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
• Ensure compliance with Uganda banking security regulations and international standards
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Provide security awareness training to staff across the organisation
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into all technology projects
• Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and implement appropriate countermeasures

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognised institution
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification required
• Minimum 4 years of IT security experience, preferably in banking or financial services
• Strong knowledge of banking security regulations in Uganda and East Africa
• Experience with security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
