ICT Innovation Officer Job at Civil Aviation Authority Uganda (UCAA) in Entebbe

About Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA):
UCAA is the national body responsible for regulating civil aviation in Uganda. We operate in strict conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), ensuring safety, security, and efficiency in our skies and at our airports.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Identify, research, and propose innovative ICT solutions to enhance UCAA's operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Support the implementation and management of new digital systems and technologies across the Authority.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their technological needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Assist in project management for ICT innovation initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stay abreast of global ICT trends in aviation and assess their applicability to the Ugandan context.
• Provide technical support and training to staff on new systems and innovations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in ICT project support, system analysis, or a similar innovation-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of current software, hardware, and networking technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
• High level of integrity, commitment, and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
