Grants and Sustainability Specialist Job at NSSF Uganda - Kampala
Job Description
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda is hiring a dedicated Grants and Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Kampala. As Uganda's leading social security provider, we are committed to making lives better through exceptional service and sustainable operations. This is a senior-level opportunity for a professional passionate about resource mobilisation, donor relations, and long-term project sustainability in Uganda's social security sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and apply for grant funding opportunities from international donors, development partners, and government agencies relevant to Uganda's context.
- Develop compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and fundraising strategies aligned with NSSF's strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key donors, partners, and stakeholders within Uganda and the East African region.
- Monitor and report on grant implementation, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and Ugandan regulations.
- Design and implement sustainability strategies for NSSF programmes and initiatives.
- Conduct thorough research on funding trends and opportunities specific to social security and development in Uganda.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align grant activities with NSSF's operational goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in grants management, fundraising, or resource mobilisation, preferably within Uganda's public sector, NGOs, or development organisations.
- Strong track record of successful grant writing and securing funding from donors such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, or bilateral agencies active in Uganda.
- Excellent knowledge of project cycle management, logical frameworks, and results-based management.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to NSSF's purpose of making lives better for Ugandans.
