Job Description
Are you a skilled professional passionate about securing funding and driving sustainable development? The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda is seeking a dedicated Grants and Sustainability Specialist to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is a pivotal role for a mid to senior-level expert who will lead efforts to identify, secure, and manage grant funding while developing long-term sustainability strategies for the Fund's programmes.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of NSSF's mission to enhance social security for Ugandans. You will work in a professional environment that values innovation, integrity, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from international donors, development partners, and government agencies aligned with NSSF's strategic goals.
- Lead the end-to-end grant management process, including proposal writing, budgeting, submission, reporting, and compliance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and frameworks for NSSF initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government bodies.
- Monitor and evaluate grant-funded projects to ensure objectives are met and resources are utilised effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on grant performance and sustainability metrics for senior management.
- Stay updated on trends in social security, grant funding, and sustainable development within the Ugandan and East African context.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in grants management, proposal writing, donor relations, or sustainability planning, preferably within Uganda's public sector, NGOs, or large corporate institutions.
- Demonstrated success in securing substantial grant funding from entities like the World Bank, EU, USAID, or other development partners.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in English.
- Strong analytical, financial management, and project management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of the Ugandan social security landscape and development sector.
