Finance Officer Job in Kawempe, Kampala - Hariss International Ltd.

Hariss International Ltd., a leading manufacturer of Riham beverages in Uganda, is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Kawempe, Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to the financial health and growth of one of Uganda's most recognised brands.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the finance department with essential accounting and financial management tasks. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries.
• Support the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Contribute to financial audits and ensure adherence to Ugandan accounting standards and company policies.
• Analyse financial data to help identify trends and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Diploma in a relevant discipline may also be considered with solid experience.
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
