Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee all financial operations, planning, and reporting for Diageo Uganda.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide strategic insights and support business decision-making.
• Ensure strict compliance with all local statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and risk management frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to drive business growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A full professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proven experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
• High proficiency in financial modelling and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
