Compassion International Uganda, a leading Christian child development organisation, is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join our team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate processing of payments
• Prepare timely financial reports in compliance with Ugandan accounting standards and organisational policies
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain proper financial records
• Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and expenditure tracking
• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes
• Support internal and external audit processes with required documentation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations in Uganda
• Maintain and update financial systems and accounting software

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA) is a significant advantage
• Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
• Previous experience in the NGO/non-profit sector is highly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of Ugandan financial regulations
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
