About the Role

This senior finance position provides strategic financial leadership to Diageo's Uganda operations. You will develop and execute financial strategies that drive sustainable business growth, partner with business leaders to optimise performance, and ensure robust financial controls and compliance with Ugandan regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial plans and strategies aligned with Diageo's business objectives in Uganda
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business performance
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
• Partner with business leaders to drive cost efficiency and optimise resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies
• Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders including auditors, URA, and financial institutions
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) is mandatory
• Minimum 8 years of finance experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Experience in multinational companies or FMCG industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
