War Child Canada is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Uganda team. This senior role offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations for a respected international NGO making a real difference in Ugandan communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all financial operations and accounting functions for War Child Canada Uganda
• Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with organisational objectives
• Prepare timely financial reports for donors, management, and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations
• Oversee cash flow management and financial risk assessment
• Lead and mentor the finance team, providing professional development
• Coordinate with programme teams to ensure proper financial management of projects
• Maintain robust internal controls and financial systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior finance management role
• Extensive experience with NGO financial management and donor reporting
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Fluency in English (local languages an advantage)
