About the Role

As Finance Manager at Diageo Uganda, you will play a pivotal role in steering our financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, providing critical insights to senior leadership, and driving sustainable business growth in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete financial operations for Diageo Uganda
• Develop and implement comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Ensure strict compliance with Ugandan accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
• Manage financial risk and implement effective control systems
• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements for stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance
• Support business growth initiatives with financial expertise

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognised institution
• Full professional qualification: ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance management roles
• Proven experience working in multinational companies or large Ugandan corporations
• Strong expertise in Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications
