Job Purpose:

As a Finance Analyst at Diageo Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities that drive business decisions. You will work closely with various departments to provide accurate financial insights that contribute to the company's growth and operational efficiency in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts for Diageo Uganda operations
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management review
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Create and maintain sophisticated financial models for business planning
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial objectives are met
• Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs)

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in Uganda's FMCG, manufacturing, or multinational sector
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques
• Experience with financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
