Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Diageo Uganda.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in full compliance with IFRS and Ugandan tax regulations.
• Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and drive growth.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee all financial operations, including management accounting, financial control, and treasury activities.
• Collaborate with other department heads to optimise costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• At least 3 years in a finance managerial role, preferably within the FMCG, manufacturing, or beverage industry in Uganda.
• Expert knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Ugandan tax laws.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
