Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee all financial operations, budgeting, and financial reporting for Old Mutual Uganda
• Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support business growth
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan financial regulations, IFRS standards, and internal policies
• Manage risk assessment and implement effective financial risk management frameworks
• Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support executive decision-making
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end closures
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes
• Optimise financial processes and systems for improved efficiency
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial forecasting
• Supervise and mentor finance team members

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional certification: CPA or ACCA (required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance management, preferably in insurance or financial services
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ugandan financial regulations
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
