Hima Cement Limited, a leading building solutions company in Uganda, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan accounting standards, tax laws (URA), and company policies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
• Handle statutory deductions and filings with relevant Ugandan authorities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, or a large corporate in Uganda.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
