Hima Cement Limited, a leading building solutions company in Uganda, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to contribute to a major player in Uganda's construction and manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan accounting standards, tax laws (URA), and company policies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Handle statutory deductions and filings with relevant Ugandan authorities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, or a large corporate in Uganda.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Ugandan Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
