This senior role is critical for overseeing all financial operations for our Ugandan business, ensuring compliance, driving efficiency, and providing key insights to support our growth in the market.

About the Role

As the Finance Manager at Diageo Uganda, you will be the financial steward of our operations. You will work closely with the country leadership team to shape strategy and ensure the financial health and integrity of our business. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure strict compliance with Ugandan financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Partner with other departments to drive cost optimisation and profitable growth.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• A professional accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Proven experience working in a multinational corporation is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations, GAAP, and tax laws.
• Advanced proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
