PATH Uganda is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team in Jinja. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to meaningful global health work while developing their career in a supportive international NGO environment.

Our Jinja field office plays a vital role in implementing community-focused health programmes across the Eastern region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Finance and Administration Assistant, you will report to the Finance and Administration Officer and be responsible for:
- Processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end closing procedures.
- Managing office supplies, equipment, and ensuring the Jinja office runs smoothly.
- Providing crucial support for procurement processes in compliance with PATH and donor policies.
- Assisting in organising meetings, workshops, and training sessions for staff and partners.
- Maintaining efficient physical and digital filing systems for all finance and administration documents.
- Supporting staff travel arrangements, including bookings and advance processing.
- Performing other finance and administrative tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in finance and administration, preferably within an NGO or international organisation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Practical knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- A team-oriented mindset with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
