Job Description

PATH Uganda is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team in Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to a leading global health organisation while building their career in finance and administration.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Process payments, invoices, and staff expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organised and accurate financial records and electronic filing systems.
  • Assist the team with procurement activities, vendor management, and office inventory control.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, and staff travel arrangements.
  • Manage office supplies and coordinate basic equipment maintenance.
  • Offer general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and support annual audit processes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with PATH's internal policies and donor requirements.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or office administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with the finance procedures of donor-funded projects or NGOs is a significant advantage.
