Internship Role & Key Responsibilities

As a Field Marketing Intern for Electric Vehicles, you will be the face of Watu in your assigned community. Your primary role will involve:

• Conducting on-ground marketing and promotional activities for Watu's electric vehicle financing products in Kampala, Luwero, Jinja, or Mukono.
• Engaging directly with potential customers, especially boda boda riders and small business owners, to educate them on the benefits of switching to EVs.
• Assisting in organising and managing local marketing events, demos, and community activations.
• Gathering valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape our marketing strategies.
• Supporting the sales team by generating quality leads and building a strong pipeline for EV financing.
• Distributing marketing materials and ensuring brand visibility in your assigned territory.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• A recent graduate or final-year student in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and the local language(s) of your assigned area (Luganda, Lusoga, etc.).
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to move around the assigned location extensively.
• A keen interest in marketing, sales, and sustainable technology.
• Basic knowledge of the boda boda industry or vehicle financing is an added advantage.
