Marketing Manager Position at Nation Media Group Uganda

Nation Media Group, East Africa's largest independent media house, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This senior role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the marketing vision for one of the region's most trusted media brands and drive growth across our diverse portfolio of print, digital, and broadcast platforms.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Nation Media Group's business objectives in Uganda.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, audience insights, and competitive opportunities within the Ugandan media landscape.
• Plan, execute, and manage integrated marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels to maximise brand visibility and engagement.
• Lead and mentor a talented marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance.
• Oversee brand promotion activities to strengthen Nation Media Group's position as Uganda's leading source of news and information.
• Manage marketing budgets effectively and measure ROI for all campaigns and initiatives.
• Collaborate with editorial, sales, and digital teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and audience growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in developing successful marketing strategies, preferably within the media, FMCG, or telecommunications sectors in Uganda.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
• High proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics software (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for brand building.
