Job Description

Educate!, a leading youth skills development organisation, is seeking a motivated External Relations Associate to join our team in Kenya. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of transforming education systems in East Africa while building a meaningful career in the non-profit sector.

Educate! is a high-impact non-profit organisation that prepares youth in Africa with the skills to succeed in today's economy. We partner with schools and governments to reform education systems so young people can develop 21st-century skills, start businesses, and improve their livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders
• Support the planning and execution of external events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
• Prepare compelling reports, presentations, and communication materials for external audiences
• Assist in managing donor relations and partnership communications
• Conduct research on relevant policy developments and sector trends in Kenya and East Africa
• Support fundraising initiatives and proposal development processes
• Represent Educate! at relevant forums and networking events

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Communications, Development Studies, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in external relations, partnerships, or communications role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swahili proficiency is an added advantage)
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
• Understanding of the Kenyan development sector and education landscape
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team
