Job Description
NCBA Bank Uganda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Projects Manager to join our Technology division in Kampala. This is a senior-level role where you will be responsible for leading and delivering critical enterprise-wide projects that drive operational efficiency and technological advancement.
As the Manager for Enterprise Projects, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking technology in Uganda. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise technology projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, Technology, and other business units to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular status reports to senior management and the Technology Head.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure all projects adhere to the bank's governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the projects team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management, specifically within enterprise technology environments, preferably in the banking or financial services sector in Uganda.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital transformation, and core banking systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
