Dispenser Job in Mukono - Pharmacy Technician at C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at our Mukono facility, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, documentation, and dispensing of drugs and medical supplies to hospital units and patients. Your professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and empathy will ensure patients receive accurate counselling to improve their treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications and medical supplies.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all dispensed items in accordance with Ugandan pharmaceutical regulations.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and other hospital units to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in inventory management, including stock-taking and ordering of pharmacy supplies.
• Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organised, and complies with all health and safety standards.
• Handle patient queries with professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a Ugandan institution.
• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a Ugandan clinic or hospital setting is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Luganda.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to ethical practice.
