Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate medication management and patient care. You will be responsible for preparing, documenting, and dispensing pharmaceutical products while providing professional counselling to patients to improve treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately to hospital units and outpatient clients


• Maintain proper documentation of all pharmaceutical transactions


• Provide professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects


• Ensure proper storage and inventory management of drugs and medical supplies


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans


• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical pharmaceutical practices


• Follow all Ugandan regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical dispensing

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Dispensing from a recognised institution


• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda


• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role within a Ugandan healthcare setting


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for patients


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing


• Knowledge of current Ugandan pharmaceutical regulations and practices


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
