Job Summary

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes through proper medication management and counselling.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications and medical supplies
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all dispensed items
• Provide professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects
• Collaborate with other hospital units to ensure timely supply of required medications
• Maintain inventory control and proper storage of pharmaceutical products
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital protocols
• Participate in continuous professional development activities

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• Valid practicing license from the Uganda Pharmacy Board
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
• Professional demeanor with empathy towards patients
• Knowledge of Ugandan pharmaceutical regulations and standards
