About the Role

As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate preparation and distribution of medications to both hospital units and outpatients. You will be at the frontline of patient interaction, providing essential counselling to improve treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, document, and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies accurately
• Provide professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects
• Maintain proper inventory control and documentation of pharmaceutical products
• Collaborate with other hospital units to ensure timely supply of medications
• Uphold strict compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital protocols
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment
• Handle patient queries with empathy and excellent communication skills

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognised institution
• Valid practicing license from the Uganda Pharmacy Board
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a dispenser in a hospital or clinical setting
• Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products and dispensing procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in documentation
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Computer literacy for pharmacy management systems
