About the Role

As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental surgeons and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will be at the heart of our dental clinic operations, contributing to positive patient experiences and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dental surgeon during various clinical procedures and treatments.
• Prepare and organise dental treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilised and ready for use.
• Maintain strict infection control and prevention standards in line with Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Provide chair-side assistance, passing instruments, and preparing materials as required.
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatments.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
• Handle patient enquiries and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution in Uganda.
• Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practising licence.
• Certificate or proven experience in dental nursing is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Luganda.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
