Job Summary

As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial support role to our dental surgeons and specialists. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth clinical operations, maintaining the highest standards of patient care, and upholding strict infection control protocols. Your work will directly contribute to positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes in our dental department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist dental surgeons during various clinical procedures and treatments
• Prepare and organise dental treatment rooms before patient consultations
• Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards
• Provide chair-side assistance during dental surgeries and routine procedures
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and medications
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety protocols
• Provide compassionate patient care and support throughout their visit

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution in Uganda
• Valid practising licence from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
• Certificate or training in dental nursing is a strong advantage
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a dental or clinical setting
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
• Compassionate approach to patient care
• Willingness to work in Lira, Northern Uganda
