Job Description

Watu, a leading asset financing company operating across Africa, is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Customer Success Manager to join our team in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our mission to empower entrepreneurs and drive financial inclusion.

As a Customer Success Manager at Watu, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring they achieve maximum value from our financing solutions. You will build strong relationships, drive customer satisfaction, and contribute directly to business growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main liaison between Watu and our customers, managing the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Onboard new customers, ensuring they understand our products and services.
  • Proactively monitor customer portfolios, identify potential risks, and implement retention strategies.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently, providing exceptional service.
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to drive product and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with sales, credit, and recovery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Prepare regular reports on customer health, satisfaction, and portfolio performance.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in customer success, account management, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Passion for customer service and a deep understanding of the African SME landscape is a plus.
