Airtel Uganda, a leading telecommunications company in Uganda, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative in Entebbe. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for Airtel, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support. You will play a crucial part in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty across Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally respond to customer inquiries and complaints via phone, email, and other channels.
- Efficiently process customer service requests, including activations, upgrades, and billing inquiries.
- Accurately maintain and update customer records in our database system.
- Provide clear information about Airtel Uganda's products, services, tariffs, and promotions.
- Resolve customer issues effectively, aiming for first-contact resolution where possible.
- Escalate complex technical or service issues to the appropriate departments.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Diploma in any field from a recognised institution in Uganda.
- At least 2 years of proven customer service experience, preferably in telecommunications, banking, or a related service industry in Uganda.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Luganda) is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, empathetic approach to customer care.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
