About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients. You will play a crucial role in enhancing customer experience by providing timely solutions, clear information, and professional support for our range of insurance, investment, and savings products. Your ability to listen, empathise, and resolve issues will directly contribute to our mission of being our customers' most trusted partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer inquiries via telephone, email, and other digital channels promptly and professionally.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently, ensuring first-contact resolution where possible.
- Provide accurate information about Old Mutual's products, services, and processes.
- Maintain and update detailed customer records in the company database.
- Process customer requests and transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to escalate and resolve complex customer cases.
- Strive to achieve high customer satisfaction scores and service level agreements.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and customer experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven customer service experience, preferably in the financial services, banking, or insurance sector in Uganda.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, customer-centric attitude.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
