Job Description

Are you a people person with a passion for delivering exceptional service? I&M Bank Uganda is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team in Kampala. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-tier support to our valued clients, ensuring their banking experience is seamless and positive. You will handle a variety of customer interactions, resolve queries efficiently, and help clients understand our range of financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person at the branch.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, following bank procedures.
  • Actively promote and cross-sell the bank's products, including savings accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions.
  • Process customer transactions and account maintenance requests accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other bank departments to ensure customer needs are fully met.
  • Stay updated on all bank products, services, and promotions to provide accurate information.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 1-2 years of proven customer service experience. Experience in the banking or financial services sector in Uganda is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Luganda) is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
