About the Role:
As a Collections Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing our loan portfolio by ensuring timely repayments from clients. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships while effectively recovering outstanding amounts, contributing directly to the company's financial health and growth in the Tanzanian market.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contact clients via phone, SMS, and field visits to follow up on overdue loan repayments.
• Negotiate and establish sustainable repayment plans with customers facing financial difficulties.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer communications.
• Provide excellent customer service, educating clients on their loan terms and the importance of timely payments.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports to the supervisor.
• Identify and escalate potential default cases to the relevant team for further action.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governing debt collection.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• A minimum of a Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree is an added advantage.
• Proven experience of 1-2 years in debt collection, credit management, or a similar role within banking, microfinance, or asset financing.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high integrity and resilience.
• Proficiency in English and Swahili is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Familiarity with the local Dar es Salaam and Tanzanian market context is highly beneficial.
