Job Description
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief People & Culture Officer to join our executive leadership team in Kampala. This is a senior executive role responsible for shaping the employee experience and driving organisational culture at Uganda's largest social security provider.
As the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies that align with NSSF's mission to enhance the work experience and impact for all staff. You will foster an environment that promotes personal and professional advancement, ensuring each employee has a challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding career journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with NSSF's strategic priorities.
- Lead talent management, including recruitment, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Champion NSSF's equal employment policy, ensuring equality of opportunity for all qualified individuals without discrimination.
- Oversee the design and implementation of employee engagement, wellness, and performance management programmes.
- Drive organisational culture initiatives that reinforce NSSF's values and enhance employee proposition.
- Manage the transparent recruitment process, ensuring all applications are screened based on qualifications, experience, and job requirements.
- Provide executive leadership to the Human Resources and Administration department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years at executive level.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful people strategies in large organisations.
- In-depth knowledge of Ugandan labour laws and employment practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
