Jumia Group, Africa's leading e-commerce platform, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead its commercial strategy and growth in Uganda. This is a senior executive role for a strategic leader who will drive market expansion, revenue growth, and commercial excellence for Jumia's ecosystem in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy for Jumia in Uganda.
• Lead revenue growth across all business units: Marketplace, Logistics, and JumiaPay.
• Drive market share expansion and brand dominance in Uganda's e-commerce sector.
• Build and manage high-performing commercial, sales, and business development teams.
• Foster strategic partnerships with key sellers, brands, and stakeholders in Uganda.
• Analyse market trends and customer insights to identify new growth opportunities.
• Oversee pricing, promotions, and commercial campaigns to maximise profitability.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to align Uganda's strategy with group objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience (15+ years) in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably as CCO, Commercial Director, or VP of Sales.
• Extensive background in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or technology sectors within Africa, with specific experience in Uganda being a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth and market expansion.
• Strong understanding of the Ugandan consumer market and business landscape.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
