Certified Accountant Job in Jinja - CPA Required at SUNDA International

Job Summary:
As an Accountant at SUNDA International, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Ugandan accounting standards. You will play a key role in supporting the financial health and transparency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage and maintain complete and accurate financial records and books of accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.
• Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with Ugandan tax regulations, including PAYE and NSSF.
• Utilise accounting software to streamline financial processes and reporting.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure adherence to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as applicable in Uganda.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong proficiency in popular accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel).
• Excellent knowledge of Ugandan accounting and tax laws.
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
