Head of Enterprise Projects Management Job at NCBA Bank Uganda - Kampala

NCBA Bank Uganda Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our leadership team as the Head of Enterprise Projects Management. This is a senior executive role based at our head office in Kampala, where you will oversee critical technology and operations projects that drive our digital transformation and operational excellence across Uganda.

As a key leader within the Technology division, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide projects. You will ensure projects align with NCBA Bank's business objectives, are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, contributing directly to the bank's growth and customer service in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Develop and implement the enterprise project management framework, methodologies, and governance for NCBA Bank Uganda.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of project managers and specialists.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle for major technology and operations initiatives, from conception to closure.
• Ensure effective resource allocation, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with heads of departments in Technology, Operations, and Business units to prioritise and sequence project portfolios.
• Drive innovation and digital transformation projects that enhance our banking services for Ugandan customers.
• Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and benefits realisation to the executive management team.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of proven experience in project/programme management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the banking or financial services sector.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale technology, digital, and operational transformation projects.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan financial sector and regulatory environment.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
