Key Responsibilities & Duties

As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your primary duties will include:

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and partnerships within the Ugandan market.
• Developing and executing strategic business plans to drive revenue growth and market share.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and brokers.
• Conducting thorough market research and analysis to understand local trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to achieve sales targets.
• Representing Old Mutual at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
• Preparing and presenting detailed business proposals, reports, and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the financial services, insurance, or banking sector in Uganda.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
