About the Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of expanding our merchant network across Kampala and Uganda. You will identify lucrative business opportunities, forge strong relationships with potential clients, and execute sales strategies that deliver measurable results. Your primary mission will be to achieve and exceed ambitious revenue targets in Uganda's competitive fintech landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the Ugandan market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with potential and existing merchant clients.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to expand PayWay's market presence.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to key decision-makers.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of PayWay's products, services, and the local digital payments industry.
- Provide market feedback and intelligence to support product development and strategy.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within fintech, banking, or technology in Uganda.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of the digital payments, mobile money, and financial services industry in Uganda.
- A demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and targets.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
