Brand and Communications Manager Job in Kampala at Hima Cement

Hima Cement Limited, a leading building solutions company in Uganda, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand and Communications Manager to join our team in Kampala. This is a senior-level role for a strategic thinker who will shape and protect our brand reputation across Uganda and the wider East African market.

As our Brand and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies and communication plans. You will lead all external and internal communications, manage media relations, and oversee digital marketing efforts to strengthen Hima Cement's position as an employer of choice and industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an integrated brand and communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead media relations, including press releases, interviews, and managing the company's public image.
• Oversee all marketing communications channels, including digital (website, social media), print, and events.
• Manage the brand's visual identity and ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
• Handle crisis communications and protect the company's reputation.
• Develop compelling content that tells the Hima Cement story to various stakeholders.
• Manage the communications budget and measure campaign effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in brand management, corporate communications, or public relations, preferably in the manufacturing, FMCG, or construction sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong network with Ugandan media houses and a proven track record in media relations.
• Experience managing digital marketing and social media strategies.
• Leadership skills with experience managing a team.
