Brand and Communications Manager Job at Hima Cement in Kampala, Uganda

Hima Cement Limited, a leading building materials company in Uganda, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand and Communications Manager to join our team in Kampala. This is a senior-level opportunity for a strategic thinker who can shape our brand narrative and drive impactful communication across all channels.

As the Brand and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies, managing public relations, and enhancing Hima Cement's reputation as an industry leader and employer of choice in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an integrated brand and communications strategy aligned with Hima Cement's business objectives.
• Lead all public relations, media relations, and corporate communications activities.
• Manage the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all internal and external touchpoints.
• Create compelling content for digital platforms, marketing collateral, and corporate publications.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and response.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Manage the communications budget and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in brand management, corporate communications, or public relations, preferably in the manufacturing, FMCG, or construction sector in Uganda.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong media network and proven experience in managing successful PR campaigns.
• Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy.
• Strategic, creative, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
