Job Responsibilities

As an Area Sales Representative based in Busia, you will be responsible for:

• Prospecting and generating new business leads for general insurance products within the Busia area.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers, and agents.
• Presenting and explaining NIC General's insurance products, including motor, health, property, and business insurance.
• Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
• Conducting market research to understand local needs and competition in the Busia region.
• Preparing and submitting regular sales reports and forecasts.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of a Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Degree is an added advantage.
• Proven sales experience, preferably 1-2 years in insurance, banking, or FMCG sales.
• Strong knowledge of the Busia market and existing networks is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid riding permit (Class A) is a must. Must have own motorcycle.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
