Diageo, a global leader in premium drinks, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in Kampala. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in optimising our end-to-end supply chain operations in Uganda, ensuring our iconic brands reach customers efficiently and reliably.

About the Role

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our logistics and distribution network. You will support the seamless flow of goods from suppliers to our customers, directly impacting our operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the Ugandan market. You will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily supply chain and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of products across Uganda.
• Manage and optimise inventory levels in warehouses, minimising stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and distributors to maintain strong operational relationships.
• Utilise supply chain management software and tools to track shipments, manage orders, and generate reports.
• Analyse logistics processes to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, and procurement teams to forecast demand and plan supply accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations governing logistics and distribution.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
• Practical knowledge of supply chain software and inventory management systems.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Previous experience within the FMCG, beverage, or manufacturing industry is a significant advantage.
